How long does you guys take to convert mkv to mp4? Can list down spec of pc?

Why bother? So many apps like avplayerhd play mkv with no problem.

If it is for atv reasons, then I can tell you it is dependent on file size and your computers cpu. I use iFlicks to convert, or handbrake in some circumstances and anything around 1gb can take around 30 minutes on my iMac 27''.
