Preview - Automatically resize setting

I have an '06 iMac with 10.6 and Preview is absolutlely frustrating me. Every PDF I open I have to right click and automatically resize. How can I save this setting? I also have a MBP with 10.6 but it remembers this setting but I don't know where the setting actually is. :(
Thanks for any help.
 
As soon as I posted i had the amazing thought of deleting the .plist :)
