Edmond, OK
I've tried removing & reinstalling FF.
I've deleted the app from the Applications folder and reinstalled it. It comes back up with same sites on the menu bar as before, but now they won't go anywhere. So, now I'm worse off than I had been. Tried to go to mozilla.com for help, but can't.

I am sure it's a Preference file somewhere but I can't find it,

Help/suggestions?

The most effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:

Ok, I was looking in the wrong window.

Called Apple (< 90 days) and they had me go to the "GO" menu and hold the Option button. Then Application Support.
I had been looking in the Library file in the "Mac HD" on the Desktop. No wonder.
Now to reinstall Firefox!

Thanks again for the help!

If you had done the search as described in the link I posted, it would find the files, no matter where they are, including in the Application Support folder. Glad you worked it out, though.

So you did not use the search method Mister GGJstudios laid out for you?

You can use an app to uninstall apps completely. I use the (free) App Cleaner: http://www.freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/
In most cases, app removal software such as AppCleaner doesn't do a thorough job of finding and removing files/folders related to deleted apps. For more information, read this and this. If you just want to delete the app, drag the .app file to the trash. No other software needed. If you want to completely remove all associated files/folders, no removal apps will do the job.

I did not know that, thanks. I'll use that method next time. Seems like Apple would have a better way of uninstalling apps...

It suffices to just drag the application to the Trash, as the files/folders left behind don't slow down your Mac and are very rarely bigger than 10 MB.

Ok, Thanks GGJstudios & simsaladimbamba!

I did follow y'alls instructions, after I gave up mine.

Hopefully I can remember them next time.
