Hi all my iPhone 4 white has a big chunk missing in the top right hand corner! Will apple do anything for me if I ether contact them or go to my nearest apple store?

Based on experience, the Genius Bar at Apple will indeed swap out the phone, but it is around $130 flat rate to replace the front.
Word of advice: make sure your phone is backed up either to iCloud or your computer before making the trip.

I'll take it to them at some point as the phone ain't even a year old yet and the screen does flicker every now and then
