I have a quick question.

I have a 13 inch MacBook Pro, Early 2011 model.

Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

How much memory can I put in this machine? I want to bump it up from 4G, but can I put two 8 gig sticks in it?

Thanks!

You can find specs on all Apple products, including maximum RAM:

Thanks! I appreciate it.

one other dumb question I'm sure...but, can you have an 8 gig stick in one slot and a 4 gig in the other?

Thanks again!

Yes, but as it stands it has 2x2 in it ATM, meaning you'd have to find a single four and eight gig stick which would cost more than it's worth. You're better of buying a couple of eights if you need them.

Wanted to come back and tell my choice....I went ahead and bumped it to 8 g and what a difference it made! Thanks for the help and advice.
