Hey all –
I couldn't find anything on this issue, so I'm not sure if anyone has had a similar problem... Future apologies for the lengthy description, but I want to be as descriptive as possible. Any help is appreciated!
Mouse: WACOM Graphire 4 (Oldie but a goodie)
OSX: Snow Leopard 10.6.8
I have an issue where a while after startup and normal use of it, OSX tends to stop recognizing that the middle button on my mouse is no longer 'clicked.' It's like the middle click sticks in the clicked position. This tends to be pretty annoying, especially since I have Exposé attached to that button, and every time I click (no matter where) it launches. Also, the issue doesn't arise WHILE i'm middle-clicking, but during a left or right click and usually when I'm dragging something in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. And if I drag a photo or file it holds on to it for dear life even after I release the left click and IT WILL NOT release it unless I force quit the program, but then it happens again on whatever else I click on next.
So far my only small solution, other than having to completely restart my computer, is to just disable the connection between Exposé and that button. That allows me to click without launching Exposé, but doesn't fix when I drag something it refuses to release the file, photo, etc. However, I am still able to scroll with the wheel without an issue at all; just without the ability to middle-click. I have tried unplugging the tablet and mouse to release the click with no success, as well as using a different mouse (without restarting).
Has anyone else had this issue? What can I do to resolve it? It just popped up recently as I've been using the same set up for quite a while without any issues until now.
