Hello,

I've got an old FireWire 400 LaCie HD designed by F.A. Porsche that I'd like to mount to the late-2011 / currently most recent Macbook Pro.

What do I need to do?

You could also just buy a Firewire 400 to Firewire 800 cable, many can be had for as low as 5 USD via Newegg or Monoprice.
