After hours upon hours of pouring through iPad case reviews to no avail, thought I would try to crowd-source a recommendation:

I'm looking for a second case for my new iPad. I got a Targus Vuscape that seems to work well for general protection and being a stand (and cost the same as a Smart Cover ). But, there are two things it's too bulky for:

-Taking to the gym--to be placed on the narrow magazine-lip of the workout equipment (maybe just big enough for an iPad by itself, not for a folded-back folio case)

-Taking outside to use the Star Walk app. I am very conscious, as I hold my iPad in the air, over my driveway, in the dark, that it's a slip away from disaster.

I've been trying to find a very thin case or sleeve that would offer back (and ideally front) protection. At first I thought Xtreme Mac's Play-Through sleeve looked good, but iLounge's review began with the words "cringe-worthy" and went downhill from there.

That general concept is ideally what I'd like, but if that's not possible, then some kind of thin sleeve or case that offers max back and some front protection would be good. Please note, I'm not really interested in an adhesive screen protector, because I was the kid who couldn't put stickers on my toys straight and would make a hash out of it.

Thanks.
