Hello,

I have a problem I have been trying to solve but after some time I can't. I was recommended here and I greatly appreciate any help with my two problems. They may be related, and hopefully easily fixable.

I cleaned out the shift key on my macbook pro and I noticed that it caused the shift key to "stick". It entered safe mode when booted up and I went though a 3 hour battery of tests to figure out it was the right shift key that was the problem. The physical key itself is ok, I notice that there are two circular spots on the circut board right below the shift key, and the right circle has a small dent in it. I used the little leg that comes with the shift key to try to bend it back but I wasn't able to get far with that. So I tried to move around the tiny board to see if I could ground something to make it work. To the right of the right circle, there are two legs that run right into the physical button part of the board. I found when I would touch both legs, and then touch the metal below, the shift key would return to normal. I'm at a loss to what to do now, so any guesses or insights would greatly be appreciated!

One other thing, I notice that the computer seems to be under a large strain ever since this happened. I click the applications folder and it slowly opens up. I tried skype and the program crashed. Something tells me this is connected. Again, any help would be great.

This has been very frustrating.
