Some say that auto-updates for Google Chrome is considered spyware because they send a unique identifier to Google every time you start up and possibly at other times. Is this true? If it is, I should uninstall it.

I'm pretty sure there's an option in Chrome to disable sending information to Google, in fact, I think it's one of the first questions you're asked when you install it.

I don't use chrome because when you think about it your useing a search engines web browser and nothing good can come out of that:D

Conspiracys Conspiracys....

the idea that its spyware is a perspective , if you look at it right it is sorta but its not like its hurting you, its only trying to make your experince better ... so if you are in priviate stuff on GC then by all means ge behind a proxy and use firefox , but if your a averge joe then keep GC and not worry cause they just want it to work better!:D
