iPad case/sleeve/folio protection FAIL/SUCCESS stories

This thread will attempt to compile all the ipad protection stories whether their sleeve/case/folio was able to protect their ipad

i'll start off

product: jansport sleeve

what happened: was in the sleeve, sleeve was in a bag placed on a table. but my bag fell down hard onto the floor (3 feet drop?). no obvious damage to the exterior but screen stopped working

result: fail
 
Hope I never have the opportunity to give feedback to this thread. So far no drops for me (fingers crossed while typing).
 
To be honest, I don't expect my case (a viva leather folio) to provide any sort of protection against falls. It is there really just to prop up my ipad on the table when reading, and protect the screen against contact when in my bag.

I dont think most cases provide much fall protection.
 
Built neoprene iPad messenger. Dropped it with old iPad 2 on concrete twice juggling things going out to car.

Never damaged it.
 
smart cover + IBlason back case
stuffed inside a Brenthaven padded sleeve
Backpack was unzipped and sleeve done fell out and landed on screen, not the corners.
Opened sleeve to find everything still intact.
YAY!
