using Pidgin and Fink on Macs

hi there,

i was previously a windows user and installed pidgin (multi-chat client) on my computer. i found it simple and clean, and like many features on it. so i wanted to install it on my mac, but they haven't provided a package for it. instead i need to use fink as an installer or something, but i don't quite understand how it works. would anyone know how i would go about installing pidgin through fink?
