I know, I know... should've never gone AT&T to begin with. Yup, I am dumb. 
Finally bit the bullet and picked up a Verizon model today. Then I listed my AT&T on eBay and it sold in no time. Lost a small amount, and was feeling bad about that $ difference - until I got the Verizon model set up and tested the LTE speeds right here in my home town. Um, holy CRAP! 27/12... way faster than my wifi, not to mention AT&T's "4G" (3/1). Plus the hotspot feature? Ya, I was not smart...
