I was impressed when i first saw the iphone 4. Almost two years later, it still looks amazing. If the next iphone still looked like this one with a larger screen, I'd be fine with it.

Same here. There's still no phone that remotely looks as sexy as the iPhone 4/4S. The Lumia 800/900 is up there, but not quite.

I prefer the 4/4S for design as in looks. I wish it didn't have the big shiny Apple logo on the back though. As far as hardware, antenna, etc etc I think the 4S is the best designed.

I never would have thought I'd find a phone that could rival Motorola's antenna and radio's. But the 4S is very impressive. I've seen db's in the 50's in good reception areas.

Although the 4 is beautiful, it's not very practical. I think the overall best design was the original.

Agree...you cant shatter that one into a million pieces when you drop it. Very durable. I do find it funny that most are saying 4S when it has the same design as the 4....lol

Its about design, not function people!

Don't really need to have different options for 3g/3gs and 4/4s they are the same design. 4/4s design is the best by far IMHO.

iPhone 4/4S for me, the black version is nice. not the white version because the bezel looks so big and thick unlike the black which blends nicely with the screen.

Anyone care to elaborate what's the difference in design between the iPhone 3G and 3GS, resp. 4 and 4S?

The 3GS has silver writing instead of grey on the back. The 4 (GSM), 4 (CDMA) and 4S have different slits on its antennae.

Haha jks, but the should have a 3G/3GS and 4/4S option combined.

Tbh I preferred the asthetics of the 4s over the 4 as the antenna bands are uniform #

Personally tho I loved the original iPhone was a work of art for its time. The 3G/s was a step backwards.

First gen. The chrome bezel just screams "bling-bling" and the metal back was a nice touch that prevented fingerprints the way its later successors did not. More practical using metal over glass and better ergonomics than the 4/4s with the round curves.

The original was also impractical as phone signal doesn't pass through aluminium very well. Was a classic example of form before function.

Hence the plastic bottom. I never had signal problems with my OG iPhone. Ur never gonna get a 100% perfect phone. The 1st iPhone was awesome to hold, had a perfect weight balance, and a touch interface that was years and years ahead of its time... And it was built like a tank!!

3G curved back but iPhone 4s look

Find the 3G feels better against my ear and in my hand, picking it up etc.

Either way, both are the sexiest phones available

I had awful problems with my first gen iPhone, and the problem was compacted by the crappy tinny, incredibly quiet speakers. Trying to hear anything anybody said next to traffic was fruitless.

The liquidmetal iPhone, if and when it comes out, will be amazing I'm sure.

Have the the 4 now, originally had the 3G which I gave to my brother 2 years ago. He recently gave me back the 3G to get it unlocked and when I picked it up i looked at the 4 and said eww. The 3G looks and feels the best, the only thing is that it's fat and thick compared to the 4.

I voted iPhone 4. No other redesigned gen has wow'd me as much as that one, which is why I still use it :p

OP is not asking about function. This was asked strictly for design. If both the first iPhone came out at the same time of the 4/4s and were both had similar specs, alot of people would pick the OG iPhone based on curves, that shiny chrome bezel, and a back that doesn't shatter from a 3ft drop. Only thing that would make it better on the back would be adding a glowing Apple logo like their MacBooks. People seem to be biased for what phone they currently use and the OG iPhone sold the least amount being it was expensive at the time. Less people experienced it while many more have with its successors.
