Hey, when i turn on my iBook, it chimes and makes all the regular booting up noises, but that's about it. There is a flash of the grey booting screen for a split second, but it's black after that and the brightness keys do nothing. Ditto for the volume keys (no quacks) but the num lock and caps lock keys light up when pressed. It definitely sounds as if it's running, but is totally unresponsive.
I've tried booting to safe mode, resetting the PRAM, and VNCing in (i had it running as a headless fileserver so it was all set up), all to no avail.

Any ideas? Or should i be content with the 9 years i've gotten out of it and accept that it's finally given up..
