This is a bit off topic, but I assume someone might know this ?

How can I remove a stenciled black logo off of an aluminium casing? Will nail polish/rubbing alcohol work or will that damage the aluminium surface?

(mods please move if need be)

It completely depends on what was used to get the graphics on there. You say they are stenciled, so I am assuming some form of paint.

You would want to try various solutions that will dissolve the paint without also taking off the anodized coating of the aluminum (or potentially harming the plastic pieces).

Seems to be embossed, so I assume it's some form of factory labeling system.

I bought this external HD enclosure and I really like the design, except the typography they have on it.

Just being picky I guess.
