Cydia and YouTube And safari not working

Hello there I have recently bought an iPhone 4 second hand that had been jailbroken
However when I got to cydia it opens and then closes instantly also the same with safari
And also seen that YouTube loads videos but when I press play it just says it loading all tw tym thru 3G or wifi
I am on 5.1 (9b176).

Any help would be appreciated

Sorry to sound stupid but how do I get redsnow that will work as in the website?
As I am obv not using the computer it was jail broken on will that matter

Have restored phone in setting and now plays YouTube
However safari and cydia still. No joy

You cant restore the phone with settings. You have to plug it to itunes and restore it.
You will lose the JB though but sounds like you might not need it.
