I'm jail breaking an iPhone 3G running iOS 4.2.1 for a friend... what's popular?

So is there anything I should install for him? I don't jail break myself so I'm not up to date with the latest popular tweaks.

Oh and from what jailbreakme.com tells me, I should use redsn0w and the IPSW for my firmware, sounds simple enough, is that right?

Thanks for that info. After it had processed the IPSW it gave me a list of options to choose from, such as enable multitasking and background wallpaper, as well as others, only Cydia and one other was enabled.

Should I have selected those or can I do it later?
 
Since I've never actually used Whited00r(I own a 3GS and an iPhone 4), I have no idea if you can do it later. It's easy enough to just reinstall it again if you can't though.

Sorry, my mistake. I used redsn0w, but I did Google whited00r and I'm downloading it and I may choose to use it.
