buy or wait

Hello,
I currently have a blackberry bold under sprint and just became eligible for an upgrade with 2 yr contract. i've been looking to get the iphone 4s for a while...the question is whether to wait or not. i know its pretty apparent the iphone 5 will be out this fall, but i will be studying abroad for the fall semester (sept-dec) and will not be able to buy/use the iphone overseas. i'm pretty frustrated with my bb - it constantly freezes, is very slow, horrible camera, little app options, etc.

i've also heard about the resell opportunities with the 4s...so if i wanted to upgrade, i could sell the 4s for a pretty high price and use that to buy the 5 at full retail?

any advice would be appreciated!
 
Just hold off for now and wait for the iPhone 5, imagine how annoyed you'll be when you've bought the iPhone 4, and a few months later, an awesome new iPhone 5 comes out. In terms of resale, you're right, you probably can, but you'll definitely make a substantial loss, and in my opinion, it just isn't worth it. If your BBs that bad just buy a cheap phone for abroad which you don't have to worry about and get the iPhone 5 when you get back :)

Im gonna hold off on the iPhone 5 and wait for the iPhone 6 which will be out 5 months later.
 
I would bring it overseas to use with wifi, but in terms of using it as a phone that would get expensive. the program i am traveling with gives all students a cheap phone for the 4 months and a sim card to upload minutes onto...apparently if using a US unlocked phone, anyone who wants to contact you from France would end up paying much more than if I just used the French phone.
 
I'd be reluctant to sign up for a new 2 year contract if I knew I was going to not be able to use it for a semester

My boyfriend says iPhone 5 is going to be out this fall. I would wait
