After I unfortunately installed some apps from the Xsellize repo (which I'll never do again), I had to respring, and my iPhone froze. Nothing worked, so I turned it off holding the home and power button, and went to boot it again with Redsn0w. Now I can't get it into DFU mode, cus it stops on the last step, nothing happens.

It reboots by itself and it's normal for 2-3 seconds, before it proceeds to respring. Normal again for 2-3 seconds, resprings etc.

Any ideas on what I could do? Is my phone bricked?

It does not show up in iTunes

You could use TinyUmbrella to enter recovery and then restore back to stock via iTunes.

Also, if you can hard reset it by holding both buttons, then there's no way that you can't get it into DFU. Just follow the steps in Redsn0w, since it requires a DFU setup to boot tethered.
