Iphone custom ringtones HELP

Iphone custom ringtones HELP... iphone4 ios 5.1.1(9b206)

I created them from mp3 to ACC version drug it to desktop renamed to m4r then drug back into itunes. checked sync all ringtones in iphone within itunes.

The problem is they do not ever appear in my iphone settings nor does custom ever appear as it should.

Im not sure what is wrong. Im ready to dump this iphone and go back to my blackberry. I really hope it operator error.
 
Easier to use a program or web site that's made for trimming songs to ringtones. That way you know it'll all be done correctly.

If you have a Mac, put them in Garageband and 'share' them as ringtones to iTunes.

If you have a PC, use google, there are websites that help do this too, I think.
