iPad and pandora

So I've noticed on the iPad 2 when pandora is playing and I double click home and slide to the right, the music icon is there. On the iPhone pandora is there so I can just double click home and change tracks or pause. It's not the same on the iPad. Also, when the iPad is locked and I double click home, again the music icon is at the top, not pandora which is playing. The iPhone doesn't have this issue. So whenever I want to change songs or pause pandora, I have to exit whatever I'm doing and open up pandora app. If the iPad is locked and pandora is playing, I have to unlock it and go through that vs just double clicking home and having it right there. I hope this makes sense. Anyone know a solution to this?

I surely can't be the only one who's noticed this...

Now it magically appeared. I swear im not crazy.
