Anyone know what app I can use on my Air or iPhone to get my pics for Instagram like this? Thanks!

Looks like very strong HDR and maybe high pass? But there are many filters you can use to ruin your photos.

If you want overcooked hdr, look no further than photomatix.

And I'll just leave this here...

I've never seen that before. I like it. I'm on that vertical drop now. I know a lot technically and am very skilled with even advanced gear (manual settings, studio lights, etc. etc.) but my personal opinion about my own artistry is lower than it was when I knew a lot less

I'd say the green line should flatten out after the HDR hole.
