Just backed up a MBP to a time capsule for the first time. (The Time Capsule already has a different Macbook backed up to it, which has worked fine.)

The backup took 15 hours and said it was copying 300 GB of data. But when I navigate to the .sparsebundle file on the time capsule, it says the file is only 675 MB. Can that possibly be right? Any theories?

(the .sparsebundle backup of my other computer is 225 GB, and it says so when I click Get Info. Although I've been backing that one up for years, so maybe that's just the result of lots of accumulation.)

I just want to make sure all my data has been backed up.

Thanks!
