I am one of the final 4 candidates for getting a job at apple retail store by my house. This is the fourth and final interview and am hoping i am already in. First interview was a hiring event two groups of about 30 people. Second interview was one of the store managers a recruiter and I. Third was with the HEAD store manager of the store i am applying to. btw the head manager absolutely loved me and said he would love for me to work in his store. And now july 2nd at a panera bread near the apple store i am meeting with the regional manager of four apple stores in my area. At this point i feel that the first interview is apple selecting who would fit them. And i think that the second interview is the make it or break it. 3rd and 4th is just meeting the managers and regional manager to get a thumbs up. what do y'all thing? i spoke to an employee at the store i am applying to and he said he went to his final 4th interview few months ago with 3 other candidates as well and all got hired. plus i have yet to read a interview review on glass door.com where somebody did not get a job offer after making it to the final 4th interview. otherwise any tips anyone?

apple retail employees speak up! i am so excited to become part of the team and have a deep passion for apple products and as a company.

thanks

Holy interviews. I've never had to go through more than two thankfully for a job.

Congrats though OP. I hope you get it. You'll have to let us know.

I have a feeling if you are meeting at Panera Bread its to start some pre-employment paperwork.

You wouldn't happen to be applying to the one in Old Orchard?

There's a Panera across the street from the Apple Store :)

haha no its in north east. i would say exact location but don't want to do anything that might keep me from getting the job! i talked to a store employee today and he said that if you make it past the 3rd interview with head store manager you should be good. any others who got a job at apple have something to say?

First off, you won't get anyone who works for Apple to post on this forum for you and admit they work for Apple.

Second, at this point, you're probably in for whatever position you applied for, which is likely Mac Specialist. Don't get too excited, it's a retail job. A good retail job, but a retail job nonetheless.

Third, having been on both sides of the Apple Corporate coin, working for Apple retail isn't anything like working for Apple in Cupertino, I hope you realize this. Yes, it's cool to say you "work for Apple", but don't think you're on the same level as the teams at HQ, if you tell them that, they'll laugh at you.

Fourth, get used to either A) not posting on Apple-related forums, or B) deleting your MR account and signing up for a new one and don't make any posts referring to the fact that you work at an Apple Store. It's not guaranteed they'll find you out, but if they do, they WILL show you the door. I've seen it a number of times.

Fifth, good luck, have fun, and take advantage of that employee discount. Because it'll be the last time you get 25%+$500 off a new Mac...ever.

Good lord. Meeting with the regional manager for a general CS position? Do they not trust their GM's to make a decent hiring decision? That's a lot of money to spend to hire a $12/hr clerk. Dang.

I hope you're prepared to be treated like crap by hundreds of cranky entitled people who think their money is special and think they should be able to order you around like a servant.

But you'll get nice discounts on Apple tech!

Aren't all retail jobs like that to some degree though? You'll have to deal with morons no matter what the shop.

True!

I have two friends who work in retail, one at Barnes & Noble and the other at Apple. They both have awful stories, but my Apple friend always seems to have more/worse ones. Anecdotes...I know!

Well if you get the job we won't be seeing much more of you around here.

It's easier than you might think.

Thats an American thing not just an Apple thing. I mean where ever you work someone has to do it and we get paid what we think we deserve to do a job and if for some reason you find your self unable to do your job inefficiently you could expect one of the many people who also work for their money to be little upset but if you use a Mac you and everyone who knows you knows you spend more A product because it works and comeback for service because it was good why complain about things you can control like other people and do you best at your job then log on and spill the beans ... oh yeah apple store by my house on Sunday 15 emp on sales 2 at genius bar 1 on repairs ..... i just need a new charger cable this one one connect that will be about 4.5 hrs would you like to have a seat ... ok i sit and every older couple that buys computer and looks at $399.00 headphones (or some other well overpriced mid )get my free advice hey do you produce music .. no they say then i say at the west end of the mall target has great comfortable headphone from companies you've heard of, for more than 300 dollars less . and i do this for an hr till they notice help me and leave lol 6 sales down and they get my a** out of there

I don't think it has anything to do with being an American.
