I'm just wondering what's the best way to send a gift (engraved iPod touch) to somebody that lives in the Philippines.

1. Purchase the engraved iPod touch from the US Apple online store using my US based Visa debit card then send the package via Fedex.

2. Purchase the engraved iPod touch from the Philippines Apple online store using my US based Visa debit card. Faster method, t costs around $12~ more than the first option but I'm okay with that. All based on Google's USD to PHP conversion and vice versa.

I honestly want to just purchase it from the PH Apple store (2nd option) so I don't have to deal with going to the Fedex location to drop it off. My biggest concern is, how is the conversion going to be if I used my Visa card? USD to PHP. My bank is Chase. Is there going to be a fee? Will I have to pay more?

My advanced thanks.

There will probably be a foreign currency exchange fee on top of the iPod being more expensive in the Phillipines to begin with.
