Hey guys,

As some of your might be aware, when you have an external hard drive plugged in while pressing the options button during boot up. You wont see any options appear, until you unplug the external hard drive.

so guys, i am planing to install this external drive of mine, into a caddy drive. My question is will this happen to me with the caddy drive in?

thanks

By caddy, I assume you mean one of these:

If the caddy is powered off during boot-up you will be fine...If it's powered on you will get the same results you get now.

Buying a caddy with external power is good policy anyway, and as long as the drive is standard 3.5 it should be fine.
