What is a good price for a used 24" Cinema Display?

A local person is selling a used 24" cinema display. He claims it's in like new condition and was barely used. He even has the original box. He is asking $600 for it. I was going to offer him $500. Good deal? I don't have the room for a new 27" or I would.

the lowest I found on ebay is 450 for a used one in new condition, so I would start with that but I wouldn't pay more than 500.

I'd lowball and offer 400 because if he sold on eBay he'd lose around 12 percent due to seller and PayPal fees plus it's much more convenient to do a cash, in-person transaction.
