Hi all, I recently got my hands on a 4S, got home and realised that the Home button isn't straight. Should I take it back? I only got it last week. I'm just curious as to what they might say if I go in a Apple store and say 'Can I exchange this for another as the Home button isn't straight?'. Sounds a little pathetic to me but it's really annoying!

Thanks.

Who are you to judge it for not being straight!? It was born that way

Because you've noticed this you will always look straight at it, so i believe its gonna annoy you more and more.

We sometimes can't help fair wear and tear when using the iPhone, but i wouldn't accept something like this straight out of the box.

If its not straight then it should not have really got past quality control.

Take it back asap to swap it out for a new one is my advice and do it quickly.

I paid £500 for mine so would expect everything to be aesthetically correct.

If you are not happy take it back. You payed a lot of money so you should be happy with your purchase.

I thought the home button was meant to be round anyway, not straight.

No. I meant the square on the Home button is around 5-10 degrees rotated.

Ok. Many thanks. I paid the same amount as you too, I shall take it back. All I'm worried about is that (although it's within 14 days of purchase) they are going to think 'He wants an exchange just because the Home button isn't straight'. As you mentioned, it should be aesthetically correct.

Both my iPhone 4S and iPad 2 are like that, as was my iPod touch 4G and my previous 4S. I don't think it's a manufacturing problem or whatever, but how the home button sits. You can move it back straight if you try to turn it by pushing in lightly (without clicking) and turning it.
