Our time capsule has died out of warranty.
The plan is to use a synology NAS for backups with an Airport Extreme router.
Thing is that I need one today and both John Lewis and Stormfront in the UK are out of stock.
Stormfront are predicting a refresh, they have had no stock for a month.
Anyone out there heard anything?

My predication is worth what you paid for them but here goes:

Originally I thought that Apple would release a new Airport Extreme with 802.11ac this fall in preparation for the next iPad refresh in spring 2013 but now I'm thinking they will make that change next spring along with the next iPad so there's actually a device to utilize it. It wouldn't make sense for them to release it in the fall and not have a single product that can use it. Unless they upgrade the new iPhone with 802.11ac but even that is doubtful since LTE will be the big draw for the new iPhone.

As for why the stock is out at your stores...not sure. The Apple stores (online and retail) are full of them here in the US.
