I have a MBP i7 with 8GB and a 128GB SSD once running its super quick but if rebooting of starting it sits on the grey startup screen with the apple logo and spinning symbol for about 5 minutes. Going through the logs in console nothing is in the logs during that time I.E I'll get the shutdown messages then absolutely nothing for 5 mins.
I have tried most suggestions I've seen about lion being slow to boot but nothing makes a difference.
I don't normally reboot much so have been ignoring it but with mountain lion coming out I wanted to try to resolve it before upgrading (or avoid a fresh install)
Any suggestions would be welcome.
