I have a PDF file as attachment in my mail but I don't know how to save that file on my ipad2 ..

Download iBooks and you can save it there.

Or Dropbox and sync them back to your desktop, or other mobile devices.

Or Adobe Reader http://appshopper.com/business/adobe-reader and have the ability to sign, or typewriter, fill out forms, and email them out again.

I transfer them via DropBox and then open them in the applications I want (usually iAnnotate, but like others said iBooks would be fine).
