Hi,

I have a 2007 17" MBP

After no upgrades I have decided to buy a 500gb WD hdd and 4gb RAM from crucial.com (fully suitable to mt MBP)

I have cloned my hdd to the WD one via SuperDuper. I have then installed the hdd and ram. Upon starting the MBP for first time all was good. I managed to open iPhoto and Firefox. Then I closed them and went to searchlight to see if I could find super duper. This was Moore out of interest to see if everything good.

It said 'initialising hdd, 5hrs remaining'

The MBP then froze. I forced Shut down, and now all I get when I tr to restart is a looping keyboard chime and noise from the DVD drive....

Does anyone know what has possibly gone wrong?

It was all going so well...…

Is this a common issue? I was hoping to install snow Leopard too (ok I know I'm behind the times here!)

How can I resolve. Have opened up and put the original hdd and ram back, but same issues
