Put iMac in permanent target display mode?

Hi all,

I have a new MBPr and an iMac (2011) that I am connecting to during work. I take the MBPr home, though, every day and have to use cmd+F2 every morning to put the iMac back into target display mode. Does anyone know of a way to keep the iMac in target display mode by default or auto-switch when my thunderbolt cable connects?
