Time Machine - Read Only Error after installing ML

I just installed ML on my iMac. I am now getting an error with Time Machine.

It says "Files can't be copied onto the backup disk because it appears to be read only"

The backup disk is a Seagate Freeagent GoFlex drive I bought from Apple and it is connected over firewire 800.

Any ideas?
