Mountain Lion on top of Lion Server

I tried to install Mountain Lion on top of Lion Server. It will install but after the first reboot it just came back to the desktop just like nothing had happened. Is there any way to install Mountain Lion on my Mac mini server without having to do a clean install as I don't want to re-install all the applications. BTW, my Mac mini server is setup with RAID0.
