Not sure if i should install VMware & windows on SSD with 78GB available or on my HDD. SSD would give best performance, right?

VMWare is simply an app, that can live on your SSD.

The individual VMs can live on your HDD. The SSD would indeed give better access times, but pushing free capacity that low may result in lower performance anyhow.

It really depends on how much you plan to use the VM and how much RAM you give it.

I'm in school for Software Enginnering and we use Visual Studio a lot, but I think i'll keep app on SSD & vm's on HDD. Thanks
