I know the ATT site says these plans will include tethering but, does this mean ATT will finally allow tethering for the iPad?

You mean using the iphones 3G connection on a wifi ipad ? We can do that now

No I mean using the "iPad as a personal hotspot" option on the iPad. Currently this feature is only available on Verizon iPads.

Well I don't think everything has officially been put out yet but what we have seen is that to add a tablet to the plan is $10/month. The plans include tethering at no additional cost.

By that I kind of assume that to officially be able to tether another device to your iPad (I.e use the iPad as the hotspot) that the iPad would need to be on the plan.

At least that's how it sounds to me.
