I'm sceptical at best - I doubt it was actually on apples website. Probably fake
 
My first instinct was that the photos were Photoshopped, but the video does remove some of my skepticism. It would be quite a bit of effort to make a fake video to support these screenshots. I think it could be real.

It's just someone trying to generate traffic on to his blog. The comments on the blog highlight some of the reasons that it is fake
 
Right now, no one else has a story about this. I think it might be like last year iphone 5 website leak
 
It you look at other similar products, Apple calls them "adapters", these screenshots show the product as "converter". Also uses the British spelling of colour... It's also a little strange that no one else saw this when it was up on the store. And in my opinion, Apple would not release such a product in black, when the USB cable is white - looks silly.
 
Obviously fake. It's the US Store but is using the UK spelling of "Colour". The people who run Apple's store won't find out about new products until it's time to push them to the store front.
 
Fake. TUAW ran a story about it, it was the same guy who failed miserably to fake the iPhone 5 last year.
Plus the color/colour mistake.
