Hey everyone, I just bought a new 2012 Macbook Pro 15" today. I've set it up and went through all the motions but I noticed a hiccup.
Whenever I create a folder or move a file in to or out of my Mac HD, Finder prompts me to authenticate and enter my password. It will say either "Please enter your password to make changes or "The file cannot be modified; authenticate".
After a quick Google search it seems to be a problem with permissions, possibly with the root user. However all the discussions seem to divulge into lengthy and wordy tirades about Terminal. I'm also confused because I'm the only user with Admin privileges.
How can I fix my issue with authentication relating to files on my Mac HD?
Thanks.
