Okay, so I have gmail set up with exchange, and I get pushed alerts from them. I can hit the x button which just clears them from my lockinfo/NC center...but if I swipe right, I get the option to select a trash can, which SHOULD delete the email, but only archives it.

Anyway to have gmail set to push and have lockinfo delete the email instead of sending it to archives?

Isn't that how it works in the mail app as well? When I delete a gmail email (from within the mail client) it sends it to archive. I think that is how it works with gmail.

Archive is the new delete?

Yeah I guess so, so anyway to change it from archiving to deleting it?

Make sure you go to Settings>Mail, Contacts and Colanders>Gmail then toggle Archive Messages to off.
