Hi,

When I bought my Mac i had to choose a picture for my account. I've recently changed that pictures (under system preferences -> accounts). It shows the /recent/ picture in accounts and when I have to log on. However the standard mail client and sparrow still keep on showing the old profile picture.

How to fix ?! Thanks!

(Im using Mountain Lion)

Try looking in your contacts in the Contacts app.

There should be an contact, with your own E-Mail address(es), and that contact have an picture. You can change, the picture to a new one :)

Hi,

I am having the same problem. I updated every photo of myself weeks before even installing Sparrow on my computer. Somehow it found the previous profile photo and is using that for my gmail account. How strange.

Upon further research there is an answer on the Sparrow website:

Avatars in Sparrow
In you account list, an avatar will be downloaded automatically. It's retrieved from Gmail when available, then from Gravatar.

In the message list, you can see profile picture of people. They are retrieved in the following order:

From Mac OS X Address Book
From Facebook when you enabled it
From Gravatar
Some avatars are built-in Sparrow

It turns out my Gravatar image was never updated and Sparrow was using that as my profile pic.
