I went to reset safari, did NOT check 'remove passwords' and it still removed passwords. I've done this twice - check yourself. Maybe this is a bug

Is there a way to backup the password database safari holds?

is there any way to stop safari asking to save passwords? i checked under settings but couldnt find it..

i use 1password so its annoying to have safari ask for passwords every time i visit a new page (and besides, i dont trust safari with my passwords). thanks.

I believe if you uncheck this box it will stop asking.

The bigger issue is that passwords are cleared from safari even if deselect the option
