locked iphone due to passcode !!!

After numerous time of typing the incorrect code we got the following message on the Iphone " The iphone is locked - connect to iTunes".
We have important documents saved in the I phone.

How can we open the Iphone without restoring it?

If the option was put in settings to disable iphone after 10 failed passcode attempts then there's nothing you can do.
It has to be restored.
 
Did you have it set to wipe the data from the iPhone after 10 failed passcode attempts? If so the data is gone, there's no recovering it.

Well it says connect to iTunes. So wouldn't logic say that you should connect it to iTunes and see what happens...
 
How did you get the code wrong so many times?

This sounds dodgy to me.

Op is this legally your phone?

Especially since all that is needed to fix the phone is to plug it into iTunes installed on the right computer. If the OP doesn't have the computer it seems very dodgy.

Agreed... OP you need clear things up here before matters escalate
 
This is my phone and the children played with it up until is was blocked.
I didnt do a backup so I dont want to restore it.

If you have any helpful tip I would appricate it becuase I have 1400 pictures on the phone.

Dont let children play with your iphone?!... Would you hand them 500 cash to play with?!

I think he is aware of his error at this point.
He's not so much asking for an opinion on child rearing as he is searching for a solution to his wiped phone.

OP, I'm guessing everything has been erased from the iPhone just as you requested when you set it up. You have nothing to lose by connecting to iTunes.

He has certainly learned a lesson in common sense
 
I hate when ppl post comments that arent helpful in ANY WAY OTHER THEN TO DOWN THE PERSON ASKING FOR HELP. ever heard the sayin "If you don't have any thing nice to say, don't say **** at all"... Hello ? Thats you ... :p
 
If you didn't make a backup prior to your kids getting you locked out then your data is lost. There will be no way of recovering it. In the meantime, if you want to make use of your phone, I suggest you restore it. There's no way around it at this point. It's a harsh lesson but hopefully you'll learn two things from it: 1. Don't let your kids play with your expensive things and 2. Make regular backups of your devices so if something like this happens again you can walk away with very minor data loss.

I know it's not what you want to hear but it's your only option.
 
But in all seriousness, you're up a creek without a paddle. Unless your phone is set to back up to the cloud while you plug it in overnight. However, I'm not sure how you'd go about restoring from that. Luckily we have google...and this forum.

And that's the honest truth.
Probably not what he wants to hear but everything is gone and cannot be recovered now. Its wise to create backups every now and then incase something happens, you break your phone, lose it or gets stolen at least you have most of your data saved up at home or on the cloud.
If you want to let your kids play with your iphone at least dont turn on that option to erase all on 10 consecutive failed passcode attempts.
Better luck next time, hope others learn from it too.
 
sorry to hear your trouble dude ... I've always wondered why someone other than Tiger Woods would activate that feature :D

Can't you see what I'm saying that all the OP needs to do is PLUG THE PHONE INTO ITUNES as that is what the phone is telling him to do. I've had this problem before and plugging it into iTunes on the relevant computer fixed it.

The fixed that this simple thing can't be done is what makes it suspicious for me.
 
Something like this happened to me

My niece took it from the kitchen table :eek: , and since I never sync my iphone I have no idea how to get access. Do I just plug it in the computer?
