Problem with Itunes 64 on Windows

I have a problem with itunes on my 64 bit windows 7 box, and before I add Itunes match to it, I was going to see if someone can help me resolve it. If I click on somewhere on Mac Rumors that should take me to Itunes (add an App or Podcast) it takes me to the add itunes to your computer screen on the apple site, the same if I try and add a Digital Copy for a new Blu-Ray. However the itunes feeds the Apple TVs fine, syncs both Ipods, both phones and my Ipod Touch and connects fine to the apple store to add music, apps and podcasts. I'm guessing its some relationship between the browser and Itunes, but I'm a little baffled at the moment and really would like to get it fixed.
