Are there any recommendations for a portable charger for the iPad? Basically I'm working away next week and have to live in a tent! No power sockets available so would one of the small solar charger be ok or do peeps use one of the small battery chargers that contain AA batteries & just take a shed load of AA's with me!

Any decent ones off eBay to consider?

Cheers Dave.

I use a GoalZero Nomad 13 paired with the Sherpa 50 for my charging needs while camping. If I'm backpacking, then the iPad gets left at home and the Nomad 7 keeps the iPhone charged. I just got back Sunday from a 14 day, 180 mile, trip down the JMT where the Nomad 7 kept my iPhone snapping pictures and on track with the GPS.

The kit I have isn't listed any longer on their site, but a new version is in the works.

GoalZero is good stuff!!!

Can't wait for the small fuel cell chargers to start hitting the market.
