Hello, I hope someone can help me. I have a 2007 Macbook Pro (A1226), the screen has a serious problem with horizontal lines appearing when I move the lid and from what I have read on this site and elsewhere, this means I need to replace the LCD.

OK, so I think I can do it myself, I have found a screen for sale and have checked out the iFixit guides etc., I'm pretty sure I can do it as I have done similar things before.

I see from the guides that there is (a) tape on the back of the LCD holding the wires in place and (b) glue on the sides of the LCD attaching it to the plastic bumpers I think. Both (a) & (b) will need to be removed to change the screen.

My question is (sorry this was long!), which glue and tape do I need to buy to affix to the new screen? Can I just use regular stuff or do I need to buy something special?

Thanks in advance!
