Keep macrumors website on DESKTOP version

So I switch the macrumors to desktop version ; it's fine. When I close safari and delete it from multi task and I come back to macrumors it displays the mobile version again. I hate mobile websites.

Is there any solution?

Scroll to the bottom -> click "desktop version"

Done.

Use Atomic Web browser. So much better and you can set what the browser is identified by as a default.

It works for me? Mine is always set to desktop and remains so

the cookie should be saving for a year if you purposefully switch to desktop.

Are you blocking cookies?

I'm not blocking cookies

What I was doing before was I switched to Desktop and bookmarked the forum page. But when I clear the app from multitask and come back it returns to mobile.

I did what stu.h suggested and also bookmarked the main macrumors page. Now, when I click on the forums bookmark it comes up as desktop

I'm having the opposite problem: my Mobile Safari keeps forgetting I'm on the mobile version of MacRumors and I have to scroll way down to the bottom of the page in order to access the Mobile Version link to reset it again.

Are you using private browsing by chance? If so, then cookies only save while the window is open.

On iPhone, I'm getting sent to the desktop site with a file not found error message where the stories should be, but the rest of the page loads fine.

When reading through the forums, they were mobile versions but when I hit reply I'm getting the desktop version.

My bookmarks are synced with my MacBook, so it's the standard address.

I'll try deleting cache and cookies to see if that fixes it.
