I dont know about newtrent, but Hyperjuice is a Good company making good products related to Apple devices, It has a brand name. Apparently they were also sued by Apple for copying some of the Apple Patent Product's. Do some review online you should find some answers. My Advice go with Hyperjuice if both of them are equally good.

Has anyone been able to find a good external battery for their iPad 3? I found a couple online from the following websites:
http://www.newtrent.com/store/ipad-external-battery.html
http://www.hypershop.com/HyperJuice-Plug-s/220.htm

Is anyone using any of these products? Are they any good? And what does 10,000mAh, 15,600 mAh, etc. mean?

It's the capacity of the batteries. Don't assume a 11666mah battery in a external pack will suffice, because I won't. I used a 9600mah and it was lucky to get half way.

The external packs are rated at their capacities at 3.7v. Factor in they have a charging circuit that generates a 1-2.1amo 5v circuit to charge a device and any design inefficiencies and you lose a good 35% or so efficiency.
