I'm guessing its fake cause iPhones are PC-free now and therefore don't require a connection to iTunes, also the dock connector looks a lot wider than the other leaks on that video.

its gotta be a FAKE, iphone/ipod touch & ipad R PC free now.

it must be using OLD iphone parts to have that pop up?
or someone is good with CGI lol

Not saying it's true, but I wouldn't dismiss it because of this. Prototypes may have this so Apple can locate it.

Fake, but not because of the connect to iTunes screen. I've seen that screen more than once on my iPhone 4S for multiple reasons (attempting on-device activation without a SIM card inserted or connection to a Wi-Fi network leads the device to that screen for one).

False. The connect to iTunes screen can still come up when put into DFU mode / recovery mode at times.

Exactly my thoughts.

Plus, it would be very difficult to get a "mockup" with a 4 inch screen to exhibit such behavior so accurately.

It's at least to some degree, a prototype.

The video is fake. Look at the way he handles the phone during most of the video and then when he turns on the screen, he holds it as still as he can... that way he can superimpose the "Connect to iTunes" screen in post production.

I doubt any prototype would function "pc free"

I imagine Apple requires an iTunes connection so they can keep tabs on the phone, locate it if its lost, etc.

More and more I think this is the new iPhone, much to my dislike.

Does anyone else find how quickly the connect to iTunes screen turn off so quickly slightly fishy? I've always had to force shut down my iPhone to get that screen off- it doesn't turn off after 5 seconds.

There's definitely some form of video editing in here.

It's likely running software that you or I have never seen before.

Where's the 2 tone back that's been so prevalent on every other leak thus far? I smell a definite fake.

That screen (apart from the icon) hasn't changed since 1.0.0. It also doesn't make any sense to have it turn off after a few seconds- wouldn't you want to give the user to understand what it's saying and find a cable and plug it in?

The design is likely real but there's some Adobe After Effects trickery going on in this video.

I think for the sake of a prototype I wouldn't know either way why the software is behaving the way it is in this video. A released phone is one thing, but I have no idea what their testing software looks like or how it behaves.
